Lifting your dinghy on and off the deck can eventually result in damage to the surface. Sometimes in a hard blow, no matter how good your lashing, a dinghy secured to an uneven slippery surface can move or become loose, requiring an unwelcome extra trip onto the foredeck to re-secure it. The inexpensive Dinghy Rack has the potential to solve both of these problems.
Even if you use davits for simple journeys, the Dinghy Rack, which consists of several durable soft foam brackets, may be useful for more adventurous journeys when you want to lash the inflatable on deck to keep it secure.
The Dinghy Rack system is designed to be installed upside down on the bow of your vessel. When properly installed, the Dinghy Rack system prevents oar locks and transom from damaging your bow. Inflatable's are secured to bow with line, or bungee's to your cleats.
The system installs easily and doesn't require any holes to be drilled in the bow. Just place the brackets on either side of the inflatable bow and on the side pontoons just inside the transom plate and then secure the inflatable with rope or a bungee as you normally would.
The Dinghy Rack system is available in sets of one, three or four brackets, depending on the size and shape of your inflatable and your particular needs. As they are made of durable, marine grade foam your Dinghy Rack brackets will provide years of service with normal care.
