HARDWARE
 
The Heavy Duty Wood Dock Hardware is manufactured from 1/4" steel and designed to withstand the toughest marine environments. Most docks don't need this heavy duty hardware all the time, but when the high winds or floods come, you want the dock to stay together. All the hardware is hot dipped galvanized after fabrication, and made to attach to lumber with 1/2" galvanized carriage bolts. Hardware can be used with up to 3" thick lumber. For the do-it-yourself builder, kits and plans are available.
Residential Wood Dock Hardware is available for lighter weight and lighter used docks. This hardware is designed for use in calm areas, free of current and prevailing winds. The hardware is manufactured of 7 gauge steel. All the hardware is hot dipped galvanized after fabrication, and is made to attach to lumber with 3/8" galvanized carriage bolts. Hardware is designed for use on 2" x 6" or 2" x 8" lumber (1-1/2" thick)
