YARD EQUIPMENT

FORK LIFT ARM COVERS

TMP MARINE PRODUCTS has the best Fork Lift Cover. This cover comes as standard equipment on many of the major manufacturer's fork trucks. The material has a specially formulated PVC outer liner and reinforced with a nylon core that is sandwiched in-between the two layers. It is impervious to weather, heat, sun, salt water, oil, acids, worms, is fire resistant and does not rub off, or mark the boat's hull or railings. Call or E-MAIL us with the length and width of the material you need for a price quotation.

SHRINKWRAP

When the boats are hauled out of the water, it is then time to cover them for their long winter sleep. Using tarps or canvas covers will not do the job, because they allow damaging ultraviolet rays to penetrate through to the boats fiberglass gel-coat surface. This causes chalking, bleaching of wood surfaces, and fading of the boat's seats and interior.
Therefore, using shrinkwrap, with Maximum Ultraviolet Inhibitors, will eliminate these problems and provide a superior, smooth, form fitting surface around the boat. This will also prevent water from pooling and protect the boats gel-coat finish. It's no secret that boats left exposed to harsh weather will eventually deteriorate. With shrinkwrap, boats are protected against rain, snow, wind, dirt, sun fading, vandals, birds, insects and rodents. To prevent against moisture buildup, during long term storage, vents are available, as well as access doors.
Boat Manufacturer's and Boat Dealer's often use shrink wrap to keep boats clean, dry and safe during shipping.
TMP MARINE PRODUCTS offers a wide range of sizes, of 100% virgin resin shrinkwrap, from 6 Mil to 10 Mil. In addition, we also offer all of the shrink tapes, cord strappings, buckles, zipper doors, vents, cutting knifes & blades, and a variety of Heat Tools and accessories.

In addition to all of this, we can also offer you the "REBAG" Recycling Program - Call for Details and Pricing.

For those individuals new to the shrinkwrap business, a Training Video is available.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF WEBBING

NYLON - The most widely used synthetic web, is unaffected by grease and oil. Good chemical resistance to aldehydes, ethers, and strong alkalies; but not suitable with acids and bleaching agents or at temperatures in excess of 194 degrees F (90° C).

POLYESTER - Used mainly where acid conditions are present or minimum stretch is desired, polyester is unaffected by common acids and hot bleaching agents. Not suitable for use with concentrated sulfuric acids, alkaline or at a temperature in excess of 194 degrees F (90° C).

SLING ANGLE and RATED CAPACITY

When selecting a sling to carry a given load, it is important to consider the angle at which the sling is to be used. As an example, one sling in a basket hitch or two slings attached to one crane hook are different applications involving different sling angles. The degree of the angle will determine how much the capacity will be reduced. To determine if a particular sling will have the capacity required, take the angle between the sling leg and the horizontal, then multiply the sling's rating by the factor provided in the accompanying table.

The capacity of a sling will be reduced as the angle from horizontal is reduced. In the example below, you will see how the 1,000 pound capacity of a sling used in a vertical basket hitch is reduced.
